It's a go! The People & the Planet road trip began as planned on September 8th at dawn. First stop: Kanehsatà:ke,  territory of the Mohawk Nation, proud forest defenders against land grabbing back in Oka in 1990, and still standing firm today in solidarity to oppose dirty oil projects from Alberta like Trans Mountain / Kinder Morgan pipeline. More of #peopleplanetroadtrip over the next few days as I meet local people and listen to their stories.
